First of all, you will need to glue the entire working surface of the rotor with masking tape in order to avoid paint getting there, otherwise there will be very little sense from such brakes later.

Before painting, it is necessary to degrease the surface to be painted with alcohol. To do this, take a cotton pad, moisten it with alcohol and thoroughly wipe each rotor on both sides.

Find a closed, ventilated area where you will do all the work. In my case, it was a warehouse at my former job. The main thing is that there is not a lot of dust around, otherwise all this will settle on fresh paint.

Place the bike rotors on two planks so that they rest on them, resting on the sealed part, then shake the paint well and apply the first coat evenly. After that, turn over to the other side and do the same.

After about 30 minutes, when the first layer is dry, apply the second and you can even then and the third, to be sure. Then leave the whole thing to dry for 1 day and voila – the next day your discs are ready!

How to paint the rotor?

To paint my rotors, I used regular Sniezka spray paint from a hardware store. By and large, no other paint is needed, this is quite enough. You can also use a primer to help the paint adhere better to the metal surface. But then I stumbled something with this and forgot about it, although the paint holds up even without a primer is not bad at all. So, let’s move on to the list of what you need for work.

What did i take

Well, he didn’t say anything about the most important thing. I forgot to indicate the characteristics of the kit purchased last year. So what I have:

handlebar 680 mm / 31.8 mm flat;
projection 120 mm;
spacer rings 3×10 mm;
takeaway lid;
pin 350mm / 31.6mm.

All parts are all carbon, with the exception of the stem and the top of the seatpost, which are aluminum but painted in carbon.

I took this kit more for the design than for the light weight. Since I am somewhat of a bicycle fetishist, I really love all sorts of beautiful parts for a bicycle and, whenever possible, try to buy something interesting.

Way Back

The way back was no longer morally for me, and I started on my way. Bike trip up from Antonovka, I remembered my Velo-50 in Kherson, because the route went along this road. And at that moment I recalled how I passed this section then; how I cursed myself then, how I wanted to stop and fall somewhere on the side of the road. But this time I rode this ascent with a grin and remembered myself then; and that was only in the spring. Considering that this time about 70 km were covered behind the back, and then it was only 35-40, the ascent was passed in the heat, not at all critical and mentally calm.

The water was running out, and on the horizon there was not a single store for you; even at the miserable gas station before the junction there was nothing for sale. I had to drive a little along the highway towards Nikolaev; where I stopped at a more normal gas station, where there was a store. There I bought 2 bottles of 0.5 liters each with plain non-carbonated water (for refueling the hydrator) because there were no large bottles, as well as a bottle of Pepsi and Snickers. It was divine – the body demanded carbohydrates and received them. The tanker started asking where and where, he joked; but then we said goodbye and he wished us a good journey. At the gas station, I noticed that clouds were approaching from the south.

On this section of the path, I also made a couple of small stops in those places where there were trees near the road, because this section was practically passed under the very sun, when the sun was at its zenith.

The Highway

Well, finally I got to the highway and turned right towards Kherson. He joined the frantic traffic flow. The road to the bridge also seemed to me very long, although there is only about 6 km from the turn to the bridge. And then the first thoughts began to visit me, and not whether they will come back. But the goal was set and it was necessary to move on. In Oleshki (Tsuryupisk) I met the first and only uniformed cyclist on my way. I waved to him, and he froze something bastard. Well, okay, I moved on.

Hooray! This is the cherished bridge that I so wanted to see. He stood on it for a while, enjoyed the landscape, watched the man go fishing and drove on.
